Le Logis d'Orgeval 

On the outskirts of Paris and very close to the royal cities of Versailles and Saint Germain en Laye, Orgeval is ideally situated to offer you a wonderful stay in an area of natural beauty









The gîte is in a quiet situation surrounded by a large landscaped garden, and can accommodate 4/5 people

On the mezzanine, a small sitting room with bed-settee.

The garden

This garden, with a stream running along one end, is full of hellebores, daffodils, narcissi, old roses, hydrangeas, annual and perennial flowers according to the seasons
Decorative shrubs can be found next to currant bushes, and raspberry bushes. An orchard of apple trees is situated next to plum trees, cherry trees, hazel trees and walnut trees.
This garden is classified "
Refuge LPO-jardin d'oiseaux" by the Ligue de Protection des Oiseaux et BirdLife International.

The remaining of the property is given over to agriculture and offers an outstanding view of the surrounding countryside and the wooded hillsides of Orgeval, classified natural areas.



    







A covored space provides perfect shelter from the heat of the sun or occasional showers, for your enjoyment of the garden at all times.




What can you do in Orgeval ? 

Make the most of the area for a restful holiday. On foot or on horseback, take the footpaths or the famous GR1 (official hiking trail around Paris) Visit the small market, under the hall, which takes place twice weekly. Go fishing at the Abbecourt Abbey, pick mushrooms in the woods of Rougemont
 
And of course, do not forget to visit the many nearby places of interest in the  Yvelines and in Paris.

How to get there : 

 

Versailles 

by car, with the A13 motorway (entrance at 2 kms away), the «Château de Versailles», Unesco World Heritage, is 15mn away


Paris

by train, Villennes station at 3kms away; by train or RER, Poissy station at 6 kms away or St Germain en Laye station at 8 kms away     
by car, with the A14 motorway (entrance at 3 kms),  Paris/La Défense is at 23 kms
you can also leave your car in Orgeval and take a direct bus to Paris / La Défense
